I have to say, this last June’s trip to Mauritius has to be the best holiday so far.
The weather was perfect, the landscape was incredible and in true Four Seasons fashion the overall experience was nothing short of five stars.
We spent our five days lounging by the pool and beach, enjoying cocktails in pineapples, quad biking through the mountains, a scuba diving session and afternoon on our very own private catamaran. To sum it all up Mr. Z and I can’t recommend it enough – the perfect mix of Maldives chill with actual activities and sight seeing.

Mauritius has a large French influence due it its history
I can’t say I was complaining
Who doesn’t love French food (even in a tropical setting)
On our second day we spent an afternoon quad biking through the hills
Mauritius offers some pretty amazing views
The mountain was home to so many deer.
The must have been used to the sound of the bikes because they didn’t run off as we approached.
Cheesy photo at the viewpoint ;)
And of course ended the evening back on the Four Seasons private beach with drink in hand.
No hotel stay is complete without room service (or villa service in this case)
Lobster and bubbles ?
Umm yes please.
The trip was nothing short of spectacular and we even got in some diving and spent the day on a beautiful private catamaran which we hired to take us down the coast and inland to see a a waterfall that was surrounded by jungle that looked like it was straight out of an Indian Jones film.
To catch of a glimpse of that and our trip day for day be sure to watch my video below and give it a thumbs up :)
