Its been a little while since Z and I went to a Friday brunch with the gang.
If I’m correct this was actually our first big brunch outing of 2017!
Dressed up and ready to eat eat eat we set for the beautiful grounds for the five star Four Seasons Jumeriah.
What I’m Wearing:
Dress: Miss Selfridges
Heels: Ted Baker
Scarf and Wallet: Louis Vuitton
We were not the first to arrive to brunch that Friday so when we did we were greeted by a big plate of oysters.
Not my up of tea but a perfect welcome to what I knew would be a very decadent brunch!
I mean what else would you expect from The Four Seasons?
I quickly found myself with a glass of prosecco and ready to begin the open buffet brunch.
Now as you know I start all my brunches off with sushi.
It’s light, delicious and probably my forever favorite cuisine.
The team at the sushi station were even kind enough to make a fresh California roll for our table.
Besides selecting as you like from the multiple food stations waiters also will stop by your table with small sample trays.
Like this cute little scallop dish below.
Now this was good.
I’m a fan of eggs Benedict but I’m an even bigger fan of eggs Benedict with foie gras.
Yep. Made to order before your eyes.
Freshly seared, laid on and english muffin and topped with a poached egg covered in hollandaise sauce this was devilishly tasty.
Now this was a first for me, pizza at brunch.
Not that I’ve never seen it before just that I’ve never actually ordered it. Why? Because I always seem to get distracted by the less common dishes.
However this time, passing by the stations and seeing the cooks roll out the fresh dough and slide the pizza into brick ovens to bake I decided why not grab one for the table.
Lets just say I ate half of it on my own.
But we can’t stop there.
An hour or so later after chatting, lounging and trying a few sips of the different signature cocktails I was ready for a good old cheese board.
Whipping up a selection of cheese, breads, dried fruits and meats we all tucked in.
Finally it was time for my sweet tooth to kick in and end the afternoon.
A few of us had ice cream cones (I’m not normally that keen on ice cream when other desserts are available but you can’t miss the vanilla cherry ice cream with cherry – OMG it was like being back at the gelaterias in Lugano. That good.)
Even after that we couldn’t resist the sweet smell of freshly baked waffles and crepes.
Now let me try to walk up this staircase after such a feast.
Some people may find it glutinous but in my opinion, once in a while nothing beats a good, elaborate, over the top Dubai brunch.
