Our first full day back in Malta started the way every holiday breakfast should start, with a stack of blueberry covered waffles.
Feast your eyes.
After this delicious breakfast we strolled along the streets surrounding our hotel taking in the the limestone buildings and classical architecture .
My favorite part about the streets of Malta is the matching limestone houses but each one different with its unique colorer doors and window shutters.
Lion heads, stoic goddesses and guardians greet you at many of the front doors.

Shortly after our walk it was time to check out of The Palace and into The Westin.
After check in we headed straight to the executive lounge, grabbed a quiet table on the balcony, a glass of bubbles and a plates of bites relaxed into our cushy seats and soaked in the sea front views.
With the sun starting to set and our oh so leisurely day coming to a close we decided that tapas would be the best way to end the evening.
Still within the Westin and built right into the shore the new tapas restaurant is definitely what romantic holiday dinners are made of.
