During a very relaxed Saturday afternoon Mr. Z and I decided to go out and enjoy a nice lunch together (naturally I brought the camera along to share it with you – and I definitely think you will want to add this place to your Dubai restaurant list).
Wanting to keep things on the healthier side as we had been somewhat indulgent just the day before we decided it would be the perfect time to try Healthy Eats & Treat.
Or, better known as HEAT.
It’s a small place so you may have to expect a bit of wait, though no one seemed to mind.
Located in Jumeirah the restaurant naturally has a very relaxed vibe about it; which is just what we wanted for our little lunch date.
As it was peak lunch hours the small tables were all full but we found two comfy seats at the big bar table placed right in the center of the restaurant.
To kick things off we started with some drinks.
An almond milk cappuccino for me (I can never find almond milk in any Dubai cafes so this was already a major plus) and a healthy smoothie for Z.
While sipping away we took a look though the menu (which by the way serves breakfast all day).
There is quite a bit of choice so we decided to sample a few things.
The first thing to catch my eye was the cauliflower crust pizza topped with low fat mozzarella, spinach and mushrooms.
I mean who isn’t interested in a guilt free pizza?
Just look at this beauty!
We also had to give the corn tortillas with salmon a try.
And the Asian style lettuce wraps.
With the table full it was time to dig in!
With a squeeze of lime the salmon tacos were superb.
And that pizza …
That was great too.
The best part of the pizza was you could eat the whole delicious thing but not be left with that omg I just ate a whole pizza full feeling (I know you know that feeling don’t lie!)
Beside being health conscious the food tastes great and still fills you right up. Z and I couldn’t even finish all of the Asian wraps and took the rest as left-overs (which I will mention were shortly consumed later as dinner).
HEAT is definitely staying on my radar and I hope to visit again soon to try out the rest of their menu. If you are looking for something tasty, well priced, lots of healthy options and not just another Dubai copy paste chain then be sure to stop by HEAT.
