What could be better than a relaxing bath?
A relaxing bath with Lush.
I’ve recently developed a new addiction – bath bombs. Specifically from Lush (got to have the best of the best right?)
Only a few days ago I posted this video on my instagram of the Blackberry Bomb fizzing away in my tub and turning the water to a beautiful purple that left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated.
After that bath I made sure to head straight back to the Lush store in Dubai Mall to pick up a new basket of bath goodies.
First up was the Lush classic and best selling bomb – the “Sex Bomb”.
Firstly, it’s just pretty to look at.
The delicate pinks, blues and purples all completed by a soft little pink rose hiding at the top. The bomb is scented with jasmine, clary sage and ylang ylang (an aphrodisiac). On top of this the bomb also holds soya milk, which will leave the skin feeling silky smooth. The perfect balm when you need a little self love.
The next bath bomb caught my eye with it’s royal purple color and ended up straight in my basket as soon as I smelt it.
This one is called “Phoenix Rising” and has a much deeper mature scent of cinnamon (there is a chunk of real cinnamon in the center) and sweet spiced apple that sets you up for some super relaxation.
This bomb is also heavy in weight compared to the others, so when you first place it into the bath it will sink to the bottom and slowly rise as it dissolves, releasing its amazing scent.
Now this one isn’t actually a bath bomb – it’s a bubble bar, and they call it “The Comforter”.
That means you hold it under the faucet as it fills your tub with bubbles and it’s amazing fruity girlie scent (I know I’m excellent at describing scents).
The great thing about this bar is how large it is; you can break it up and use it multiple times. The Lush website says you can get two uses out of it – but if you want you could easily stretch it out to four or six (it all depends on how many bubbles you’re after).
I love this mask.
It’s fresh, natural and invigorating. A little goes a long way and, even though it dries quickly (allowing you to get on with the rest of your day), it works wonders. When it comes time to rinse it off with warm water it puts up no fight so you aren’t left pulling and scrubbing at your skin.
I can already say I definitely plan to repurchase this mask and have become very interested in trying more of their mask products.
To end this post I’ll leave you with a tweet from the very lovely Becky at Milkbubbletea xx
