Now I know I was just here for the Berkeley Polo Tournament but this time I was back with a totally different vibe.
Katie and I booked a relaxed Saturday afternoon tea with a tour of the stables (we booked through Lime & Tonic at a great price – I’d recommend it).
Upon our arrival we had a small wait time before our buggy arrived to take us on the tour.
The fine details of my casual high tea attire.
Before long our buggy arrived and Katie and I set off on our private tour.
Stopping for ideal photos around the polo grounds.
There are over 300 horses on this property with stables scattered across the grounds.
We arrived just in time to meet some of the four legged players before they headed out to the field.
So sweet in fact the staff opened her stall without question and handed the lead rope off to Katie!
Before we knew it it was time to leave our new best friend and catch the games.
While all have had their own perks there is really a heightened bit of grandness adding the sport of kings into the mix.
If you’re new to polo (like myself) don’t worry – you get a rule book.
I noticed that they don’t leave a teapot on the table, instead the attentive staff keeps a close eye on your cup, coming with refills when it nears the end.
And as always, if you want more to nibble on, just ask.
