6AM and the Al Husn is covered in a peaceful golden light.
Throwing our swimwear on we stepped out on the balcony to take in the view of our last day and final dive.
Down in the marina we jumped into our wetsuits (ok more like yanked and pulled them on) and packed up our gear.
After todays dive Mr. Z and I would be open water certified. Can I get a woot-woot!
But enough chat –
We’re diving down 18 meters today.
Release the extra air from your BC and down, down you go.
A beautiful tiger sea fish resting on the side of the reef.
So we let him be and continued our exploration.
It’s a funny sort of tired, you know you could probably do with a break but with so much to see around you you don’t mind putting it off for just a bit more (though always be mindful of your air and depth time).
I must say I was feeling quite accomplished for a holiday break.
Back on land and in the dive center we finished the remaining paperwork and were handed our dive logs and certification cards.
We thanked our wonderful instructor (seriously wonderful) and headed back up to the hotel pool to soak up the last few hours before our flight back to Dubai.
Back to the fast moving, busy life of Dubai.
I cannot express enough just how wonderful this three day weekend at the Shangri-La Al Husn was.
It was completely refreshing and I left feeling like new.
I hope to return again, if not for the diving…. I hear they get whale sharks in the area.
