Let me start by saying that all Dubai expats know a thing or two about brunch. It’s a big deal here and while Friday brunch is typically the big ‘brunch day’ of Dubai the Saturday Brunch at the Ritz Carlton DIFC is well worth the extra day wait.
This was my first non-buffet brunch in Dubai. I must admit I was slightly skeptical about not being able to freely pile my plate high at the different stations. Luckily, I ended up being pleasantly surprised with the Cafe Belge menu. The deal here at Cafe Belge, in the Ritz DIFC is the menu is set, but you can re-order as much of each dish (and drink) as you like.
So lets get started – first up was fresh seafood platters (one per every three people).
Even though the brunch was outdoors the sunken garden space of the Ritz DIFC is so well cooled I found myself getting a little cold!
Yes, I am probably the only person in all of Dubai who can still manage to feel cold even with summer coming on; anyways it called for some warm green tea before the next dishes arrived.
And just when I thought I couldn’t possibly stuff anymore food inside me out came the dessert….. and I magically grew a whole new stomach.
